Material | High Borosilicate glass |
Specification | 250ml-1000ml |
Description/Packaging | 60 pcs/carton |
Product Usage:
1.A wide-mouth glass container with a frosted surface that maintains close contact with the frosted glass and prevents air leakage. Used to collect gases, assemble gas scrubbing bottles and perform reactions between substances and gases.
2.Used to collect or store a small amount of gas, and the burning substances of the gas are burned in the gas. Also make gas scrubbing bottles, such as adding concentrated sulfuric acid as a drying device.
Practical Tips
1.Cannot be heated
This instrument cannot be heated, as it may explode if heated. If heating is required, a round-bottomed flask or beaker is required.
2.Spread fine sand or water
When a substance is burned in a gas bottle, fine sand or water should be spread at the bottom of the bottle to prevent explosion. Part of the substance can only be burned with sand and not with water, such as Na. Splashed Na reacts with water to release hydrogen, which is prone to explosion when ignited.
3.Exhaust gas treatment
If the combustion products contain polluting gases or smoke, they need to be processed. For example, after red phosphorus is burned, cover it with a glass piece to prevent phosphorus pentoxide smoke from irritating the respiratory tract; sulfur dioxide is produced after burning sulfur, and sodium hydroxide solution should be placed at the bottom of the bottle for absorption.
Instructions
When using, first wash and dry the ammonia-fixing flask, put aluminum foil on the balance to weigh the weight of the object to be measured, then wrap it with aluminum foil and put it together in the ammonia-fixing flask, add sulfuric acid and heat. To react the substance to be measured with sulfuric acid to form sulfuric acid, the flask needs to be tilted at an angle of 45°C during heating, so that the melting wave in the bottle is less likely to explode and overflow. If a straight device is used for ammonia determination, an ammonia-determining balloon must be added to the mouth of the ammonia-determining flask for protection, and it needs to be connected to the balloon.
